Welcome to
Being Herd
We delve deep into the language and behaviours of wild horses to communicate naturally with our own horse. Being Herd also means we take a look at our part of the relationship: We explore how our emotions and negative beliefs influence our behaviour – and our horse’s – and develop into the most powerful and authentic version of ourselves.
Wild Horses
Through their harmonious coexistence and collaborative leadership methods, wild horses not only prompt us to question how our own horse lives and learns but also how we ourselves live, love, and lead. And who we both truly are beneath the mask of functioning. Explore more about it in my Blog or Podcast. Enjoy!

Being Herd
Rewild your Relationship with your Horse and become the Leader your Horse chooses to follow: Join us on a 12-months Adventure, inspired by wild Horses.
In a wild horse herd, everything is in balance and harmony. So, if our horse is stressed, frustrated, or fearful, it’s likely due to our influence – maybe it’s how they live, how we communicate, or maybe it’s our emotional themes that our horse senses and reacts to, either by protecting itself or by carrying our problems for us. To change this, we need to deepen our understanding of our horse’s natural needs, language, and behaviours (which we can only learn from wild horses), and transform our own past negative experiences. By doing so, we can step into our fullest potential and become the role model and leader our horse chooses to follow.
It’s all about…
Wild Horses: How they truly live and lead, and how age, gender, relationship level, and the situation influence their behavior and communication signals.
Your Horse: The significant differences in our horses’ lives, how these impact them and our relationship, and how we can enhance their well-being.
Your Part: What our horse wants us to know about us and our relationship so that we can become the best and most authentic version of ourselves.
Your Togetherness: How can we communicate more naturally, e.g. when and in which ways can we be more tolerant, and when it’s on us to take the lead?

Hi, I’m Britta
Leadership Coach, Psychologist, and wild Horse Explorer
Like you, I’ve always wanted to communicate with my horse peacefully and naturally, just like with my best friend. This led me on a journey away from trying to create an obedient horse, towards a completely natural way of interaction.
But this journey wasn’t easy or linear, as I struggled to balance tolerance with making clear decisions. Only now, after many years of research, trial and error, and countless sleepless nights, have I developed my very own approach – a blend of evolutionary psychology, natural leadership, spirituality, and, of course, the wisdom of wild horses.
Now, I’d love to share this with you through Being Herd.

What others are saying
Kind Words
I can’t say enough about how much working with Britta has changed my relationship with my horse. My horse used to be so nervous, and, I’ll admit, there were moments when I felt anxious about what could happen. But Britta showed me how to truly understand wild horse behavior and communication. Through this, I learned to see things from my horse’s perspective, and that has made all the difference.
Now, my horse is so much calmer, and we’re both more relaxed and connected. I’m incredibly grateful for Britta’s help—it’s been a truly transformative experience. I’ve also joined Being Herd, as I can’t wait to learn even more about wild horses.
Working with Britta has been such a relief—I finally feel like I can communicate with Spirit naturally, without all the pressure. I’ve developed my own way of being with him, and it’s made our time together so much more peaceful. I don’t ride as much now; instead, we enjoy relaxed walks, connecting in a way that feels right for both of us. I’m so grateful for this new approach.
A highlight of my month, for over three years, is journaling with Britta and her horses. Britta’s farm is like a sanctuary – a place full of peace. It has, and continues to be, meaningful to learn SO much about myself, way more than years of other counselling.
Finally, able to manifest a lifelong dream of being with horses, I am learning what amazing creatures they are. In my view, they have a lot to teach us humans about how we can more fully maximize our lives.
Britta’s deep wisdom of horses and her gentleness, passion about them, and the lovely way they respond to her is a gift to be in the presence of. They are a gorgeous herd with lots of respect for each other, and clear on who is the leader. Britta is a wonderful facilitator – offering fabulous listening, safety, support, and tremendous insights.
I am delighted Britta has created “Being Herd,” an online adventure where participants can learn more about horses, as well as, how to “be with” and “follow the herd rules” for our mutual joy and growth. Thank you, Britta, for continuing to offer programs full of rich information and experiences.
